Zebu Live 2023: London’s biggest Web3 event is back and the lineup is immense

Steven Bartlett, Dr Lisa Cameron MP and zkSync are just some of the names to watch out for this October at Zebu Live.

A few years ago, it just was an idea drafted on a small piece of cardboard. Today, Zebu Live is one of the biggest events in Web3, and this October, it’s hosting its hottest lineup yet.

Among the speakers is Steven Bartlett, founder of Thirdweb and Flight Story, and James Tromans, Google Cloud’s Web3 lead. Addressing some of the most pressing questions in the industry will be blockchain giants Solana and zkSync, as well as Web3 icons like Farokh (co-founder of Rug Radio), and Raoul Pal.

The event will take place across October 5 and 6 at London’s Woolwich Works. Sponsors include Base, Thirdweb, Blockchain.com, Flightstory, Drunken Monkey Member’s Club, Chronicle Protocol, Tezos, and more.

Last year’s event was a roaring success, welcoming more than 1200 Web3 pioneers and professionals.

The event comes at a pivotal time in terms of regulation.

High up on the agenda at Zebu this year will be the upcoming regulation changes from the Financial Conduct Authority, launching in early October. The regulation will tighten how cryptocurrencies are promoted, bringing them closer in line with the rules on the promotion of other Restricted Mass Market Investments.

Addressing this on the mainstage will be Dr Lisa Cameron – Westminster’s most vocal MP on the topic of crypto and digital assets. Cameron, MP for East Kilbride, currently serves as Chair of the Crypto and Digital Assets APPG in Westminster – a group that’s hugely influential in pressing Parliament to act on providing greater consumer protection and financial education across the cryptocurrency and digital asset industry.

A fireside chat with Steven Bartlett, Zebu Live, 2022.

The event is set to be a hotbed of networking, learning and engaging, with more than 3000 attendees and 150 VC investors.

Got a great Web3 idea? Take part in Degen’s Den

One thing truly unique to Zebu Live is Degen’s Den (a subtle nod to Bartlett’s Dragon’s Den roots…) – a Web3 pitch competition where successful applicants will be put in front of major Web3 investors to land support for their ideas.

There will also be happy hours, as well as an NFT gallery, metaverse experiences, Web3 gaming demonstrations and exhibitions from some of the most exciting projects in the industry.

Harry Horsfall, co-founder of Zebu Live, remarked, “It’s hard to believe that Zebu Live came to life as a sketch drafted up on a small piece of cardboard only a few years ago – and now we’re opening the doors to the likes of Solana. Not only will we hear from the industry giants, we’ll also get exclusive insight from household name brands in Web2 as they cross over into a space that until now has been evolving behind the curtain.”

He added, “Zebu Live is raising that curtain – and offering a front-row seat to a guest list that blends Web3-native entrepreneurs, marketers, designers, and developers, with institutional, retail, and VC investors, as well as anyone curious about the next phase of the internet. The biggest themes you can expect to be addressed in this year’s Zebu Live? Real World Assets, Gaming, Infrastructure, and Institutional Adoption. Watch this space!”
